In Pakistan literacy rate is so low that is only 45 percent and Pakistan is developing country so its development is in the progress. In remote areas of Pakistan education is still not provided and students need to travel outside their cities to get education that is causing a lot of problems. When Pakistan was formed there was no educational institution at that time. In the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa there was no board and education was conducted under the University of Peshawar. Then later Peshawar board was formed but that soon got overloaded then another board was formed after the partition of Peshawar board in 1990.

This board was named as board of intermediate and secondary education Abbottabad board it was formed under NWFP BISE ACT 1990. This board is confined to some areas and there are many regions those come under the board, jurisdiction of the board consist of Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram and Kohistan comes under its jurisdiction covering an area of 17,194 square kilometres and having vast population of 3.47 million. This board has main functions that is to conduct examination for 5 th,8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class so that after it students can start their professional education. This board conducts examination for 5th and 8th class although these examinations are not compulsory. Students appear in them for practice so that in compulsory examination they can perform well.

There are many government and private colleges those are affiliated with the board. In these institutions examination are conducted by the board. Board conducts examination for 12th class in the month of April and May after that students wait for results that will be declared in the month of august and September. Dates for results are very near and students are really excited as that results will be declared on the official website of the board and we will also display results on our website after it is declared.

Before examination board conducts registration of students that is done in the month of January and after that students are provided with their roll number slips and date sheets.That let students appear in examination.
